Planning a KT Strategy? Looking for an easy-to-use template to guide the process?
You have valuable research and evaluation findings to share with your stakeholders, but you don't know where to start. A knowledge translation (KT) strategy can help. The Scientist Knowledge Translation Training (SKTT) Knowledge Translation Planning Template<http://www.melaniebarwick.com/training.php>(tm) developed by Dr. Melanie Barwick with colleagues from CAMH and SickKids can be used to plan and evaluate KT strategies for research projects in all settings, and has been used in a variety of sectors (health, education, mental health).

What is knowledge translation?
"A dynamic and iterative process that includes synthesis, dissemination, exchange and ethically-sound application of knowledge to improve the health of Canadians, provide more effective health services and products, and strengthen the health care system" (from Canadian Institutes of Health Research).

How can the KT Planning Template(tm) help?
The SKTT KT Planning Template(tm) provides a step-by-step way to plan and roll out a KT strategy. Some sections of the template include:

  *   Main messages
  *   Stakeholders
  *   Strategies to engage stakeholders
  *   Impact and evaluation
The Template can be used with accompanying guides to develop a KT strategy, and is one component of the Scientist Knowledge Translation Training<http://www.melaniebarwick.com/training.php> (SKTT) program offered at The Hospital for Sick Children.

Vous avez de précieux résultats de recherche et d'évaluation à partager avec vos intervenants, mais vous ignorez par où commencer. Une stratégie d'application des connaissances (AC) peut vous aider. Le Knowledge Translation Planning Template<http://www.melaniebarwick.com/training.php>(tm) pour la formation des scientifiques à l'application des connaissances (FSAC), qui a été mis au point par Mme Melanie Barwick, Ph. D., et des collègues du Centre de toxicomanie et de santé mentale et de SickKids, peut servir à planifier et à évaluer des stratégies d'AC en vue de projets de recherche dans tous les cadres, et a été employé dans divers secteurs (santé, éducation, santé mentale).

Qu'est-ce que l'application des connaissances?
« Un processus dynamique et itératif qui englobe la synthèse, la dissémination, l'échange et l'application conforme à l'éthique des connaissances dans le but d'améliorer la santé des Canadiens, d'offrir de meilleurs produits et services de santé et de renforcer le système de santé » (définition provenant des Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada).

En quoi le KT Planning Template(tm) peut-il faciliter les choses?
Le KT Planning Template(tm) pour la FSAC procure un moyen pas-à-pas de planifier et d'exécuter une stratégie d'AC. Voici certaines sections du modèle :

  *   les principaux messages
  *   les parties intéressées
  *   les stratégies pour mobiliser les parties intéressées
  *   l'incidence et l'évaluation
Le modèle peut être utilisé avec des guides d'accompagnement pour élaborer une stratégie d'AC, et il fait partie du programme de FSAC<http://www.melaniebarwick.com/training.php> qu'offre The Hospital for Sick Children.
