Two recent feature articles in the Ontario Health Promotion Email (OHPE) Bulletin may be of interest to CLICK4HP readers.
Today there is a letter from the editors that is a compilation of resources and links related to municipal elections in Ontario (http://www.ohpe.ca/node/11681). Find out the issues and the people who are campaigning at the local level by starting with this useful listing.
Last Friday the OHPE feature article (http://www.ohpe.ca/node/11658) came from the People's Food Policy Project, an example of health promotion in action. Amanda Sheedy, national coordinator of the People's Food Policy Project writes, "This feature explores the overlapping schools of thought that inform the PFPP including food sovereignty, citizen engagement and health promotion ... [and] ... explores potential roles for health promoters in supporting the food movement and the PFPP more specifically..."
