Good day,

In response to the recent rash of requests to the whole CLICK4HP listserv
for instructions on how to "unsuscribe", to sign-off or end a subscription
to the listserv, I am posting general tips on managing your subscription
options to this (and any other) listserv.

There are three ways to manage your CLICK4HP subscription: by email, on
the CLICK4HP website, or by asking the CLICK4HP list administrators for
help.

1) By Email
Please note that there is a different email address for listserv commands
or requests - not the whole CLICK4HP list membership. For unsubscribing
or subscribing, or changing your subscription settings, send your command
messages to the automated ListServ at the following address:
[log in to unmask]
***Leave the Subject Line Blank*** - this is important as the computer
cannot read the command if there is something in the subject line.

In the body of the message type in your command/request, such as:
UNSUB CLICK4HP
end

or
SET CLICK4HP NOMAIL
end

then send it.

If you add the word end on the next line it will not confuse your
signature file with another command.

At the bottom of every CLICK4HP posting there is a short note about how
and where to send an unsubscribe request, and how to get to the list
archives for managing your subscription on the Internet:
"Send the following text: unsubscribe click4hp to: [log in to unmask] if
you wish to unsubscribe. Go to
http://listserv.yorku.ca/archives/click4hp.html to view CLICK4HP archives
or manage your subscription (you will have to create a password)."

2) On the CLICK4HP website/archive (online subscription management)
Go to http://www.click4hp.ca
Click on Join or leave the list (or change settings)
You will be taken to:
https://listserv.yorku.ca/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=click4hp&A=1

If you have not set up a password already you will need to do so (click on
the part that says LogIn and it will give you an option to set up a
password). This is a 3 step process and takes about 5 minutes, but you
won't have to do it again.

When you have entered your email address and password and are looking at
your subscription options.
For example, if you want to 'turn off' your subscription for a period of
time while you are on vacation, you want the 'NOMAIL' option. Look at the
lower part where it says:
Miscellaneous: Mail delivery disabled temporarily [NOMAIL]
You want to click on the button next to Mail delivery disabled. Submit it.
To turn it on again, follow the same procedure and click it OFF to start.

3) Contact the List Facilitators/Administrators
If you have a problem with either procedure, please contact the list
facilitators at <[log in to unmask]> or [log in to unmask]
To avoid sending your requests to the whole list, I suggest that you use
the simpler click4hp.ca email address.

You can always check the CLICK4HP archives to browse messages that you may
have missed (http://www.click4hp.ca).

Please let the CLICK4HP list administrators know why you are leaving the
list - help us improve it. This health promotion listserv has been going
for 10 years - let's work together to keep it active and useful for many
more years. Your comments are very welcome!

Sincerely,

Alison Stirling, co-facilitator/administrator for CLICK4HP

Send the following text: unsubscribe click4hp to: [log in to unmask] if you wish to unsubscribe. Go to http://listserv.yorku.ca/archives/click4hp.html to view CLICK4HP archives or manage your subscription (you will have to create a password).
