EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - CENTRAL HEALTH

Manager - Program Planning and Evaluation
Permanent Full-Time
Gander or Grand Falls-Windsor

The Position: This position will report to the Director of Population
and Public Health.  Close liaison with the two other management
positions in this division and the Directors of Health Services will be
required to determine the needs/resources in the various communities and
plan and evaluate population and public health strategies to meet those
needs.  

This position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive approach
to population and public health program planning and evaluation to
ensure effective, efficient service delivery and measurement of
structure, process, and outcome data.  The focus will be on population
health assessment, data analysis for planning and decision making,
program planning and evaluation utilizing a best practice approach, and
providing education/consultation/support to consultants and other staff
on population and public health program  planning and evaluation
activities.  This position is also responsible for human resource
management and orientation of direct, and some indirect, reports.

Qualifications: This challenging opportunity requires a highly
motivated, well organized individual with superior communication and
interpersonal skills.  Strong leadership and facilitation skills are
essential.  The ability to establish and maintain good working
relationships with staff and other partners is critical.  Experience in
program development, health related research, indicator development,
performance measurement and project management is required.  

Applicants with a degree in any social science that provides the
necessary knowledge and skill set will be considered.  A Master's degree
would be an asset.
