*Virtual Leadership Development Program for M&E Teams, November 2010*

MEASURE Evaluation is pleased to announce that it is currently accepting
applications for the Virtual Leadership Development Program (VLDP) for teams
working in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of HIV/AIDS, FP/RH and Infectious
Disease programs in Anglophone countries in Africa. The main goal of the
program is to strengthen the leadership of teams involved with the
collection, analysis and use of health data, at all levels of an
organization, so that teams are able to face and overcome identified M&E
challenges and achieve desired results. Application deadline: October 22,
2010

*M&E of HIV/AIDS Programs Workshop, India, February 14-15, 2011*

MEASURE Evaluation is pleased to announce the regional workshop on
“Monitoring and Evaluation of HIV/AIDS Programs,” for English speaking
professionals. The course is designed for national and sub-national level
M&E professionals and their counterparts, assistants and advisors who are
involved with the implementation of HIV/AIDS programs.  The workshop offers
intensive training that will cover the fundamental concepts and tools for
monitoring and evaluating HIV/AIDS programs. Application deadline: October

overcoming barriers to data use. The discussion focused on how barriers have

*Report on the Status of the Nigerian National HIV Monitoring and Evaluation
System: Assessment Using 12 Components System Strengthening Tool*

In reviewing the country's National Strategic Framework for responding to
the HIV epidemic, it was critical to assess the status of national
monitoring and evaluation systems, in preparation for the development of the
next generation of the national M&E plan. This report provides findings and
recommendations from an assessment of those systems, using the recently
developed 12 Components Systems Strengthening Tool.
