The Celebrating Communities Around the World Day Planner represents the
stories and learnings from the 2008 What's Working in Community Development
conference, held in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada in June of 2008. Hosted
by Horizons Community Development Associates Inc. and the International
Association for Community Development, the conference welcomed abstract
submissions from all over the world, from people with a broad range of
perspectives.

 

Horizons developed the 2009 Celebrating Communities Around the World Day
Planner in celebration of the things that make communities strong, and to
celebrate the passions and capacities of health promoters around the world.
The Day Planner features images from the 'Celebrating Community
squares'
people created for the conference, and at its heart are the stories from the
abstracts submitted for the conference.

 

This year, we are donating 25% of the proceeds to the International
Association for Community Development (www.iacdglobal,org
<http://www.iacdglobal,org/> ).

 

The 2009 Day Planners are a convenient 8.5 x 11 inches in size and coil
bound so that they lay flat when in use. The main body of the planner has a
'month at a glance' calendar at the beginning of each month followed by
the
days of the week divided into hourly appointment times. A conference story
begins each week of the calendar.

 

The cost of the Day Planner is $20.00 (plus HST and shipping). We offer a
volume discount of $17.50 (plus HST and shipping) for each Day Planner if
