I would like to share with you the inaugural newsletter for Healthy
Weights: Halton Takes Action. Traditional attempts to reduce obesity
rates focus on individual lifestyle factors. Recent reports recommend
focusing on developing supportive physical environments, inclusive
communities and social supports. The Healthy Weights: Halton Takes
Action initiative based on the socio-ecological model will help to
address the rising rates of childhood obesity in Halton.
