This final report is now posted on the GRDHC web site at
http://www.grdhc.on.ca/reports.shtml - see Brant Community Health Goals.
The Brant County Health Goals Project was a collaborative effort between
the District Health Council and the Brant County Health Unit. The local
hospital system, the Brant Community Healthcare System, was also a major
collaborator. The report and its recommendations are specific to the
interests and concerns of Brant County residents. The project was led by
a 8-member community Task Force over a period of about 18 months.
The process and findings may be of interest to others hence this
posting. Key aspects of interest to others may be a further
collaboration in the project - The Citizens Panel Study - related to
citizens views on health status priorites and the broader determinants
of health undertaken by CHEPA from McMaster University. There was a
pilot online Citizens Panel as well. A community workbook was developed
targeted at the public. There are also some other project specific
resources others may find useful examples in their work. Further
information about the Project can be found under the Health Goals
Section of the web site -" What's new."
