>We are seeking a Research Associate to work on a qualitative evaluation
>of the Community Action and Public Health study. The 17-month study is
>funded by the NHRDP and is conducted in partnership with the North York
>Community Health Promotion Research Unit. The study focuses on the broad
>trend twoards working with communities in public health initiatives, and
>on the new skills and strategies that are required of public health
>practitioners. The study represents a partnership of university
>researchers and public health colleagues. It will include six in-depth
>case studies across Ontario to explore the nature of partnership with the
>community and to identify training and support needs of public health
>staff. In-depth interviews will be conducted with professionals and with
>community members.

>Working in collaboration with the University of Toronto and North York
>Public Health Department investigators, the Research Associate will be
>responsible for conducting interviews, preliminary analysis of the data,
>and for managing the project on an everyday basis. The interviews will
>require some travel througout Ontario. The project will be located at
