Well, the sentence beginning, "I have not read Nietzsche or Ibsen, nor any
other philosopher..." is either in the dictations for the Autobiography or
it is not, and I am pretty sure it is. ;-)

But Schopenhauer 's idea in that essay, that life is a dream and there is
only one dreamer, still seems pretty close to home (#44 ending) to me.
