Dr. Brian Cugleman, PhD
Research & Persuasive Design, Alter Spark

Since 1997, Dr. Cugleman has built an extensive career in digital engagement, online research, and program evaluation. He is not just a senior researcher and strategist, but also, he is a practitioner who has worked his way up the ranks. He ran his first online social marketing campaign in 1998. Then in 1999, he joined the United Nations to run global online campaigns. In 2010, he completed a PhD on the science of online engagement. And now, he runs AlterSpark<http://www.alterspark.com>, a consulting practice that specializes in digital research and online engagement

Dr. Geoff Fernie, PEng, FCAHS
University Health Network

Dr. Fernie has maintained a focus on the reduction of falls through the development of innovative mobility products, non-slip winter footwear and improvements to accessibility and building codes. He has made significant advances in preventing hospital acquired infections by improving hand hygiene. His recent involvement in the development of a disposable instrument for home diagnosis of sleep apnea has the potential to significantly reduce the prevalence of cardiovascular complications resulting from untreated sleep apnea. Geoff has been responsible for many products that assist people's independence, including innovative wheelchairs and bathroom aids. Many of his inventions have reduced the physical burden of caring for people, including the prevention of back and shoulder injuries in professional nurses and family caregivers caused by lifting and moving people.

Sume Ndumbe-Eyoh, MHSc
Knowledge Translation Specialist
National Collaborating Centre for the Social Determinants of Health

Sume has professional experiences in equity-focused organizational and community development and change, social justice education, HIV/AIDS prevention, research, knowledge translation, evaluation and women's rights with local, provincial and global organizations. Sume has previously contributed to teams at the Program Training and Consultation Centre of the Smoke Free Ontario Strategy, the Regional Diversity Roundtable, Ontario HIV Treatment Network, Southern African AIDS Trust and the Centre for Social Justice. Sume holds a Masters of Health Sciences in Health Promotion and Global Health from the University of Toronto.

Dr. Cameron D. Norman
Centre for Social Innovation, CENSE Research and Design

Dr. Norman spends his time thinking about the big picture and working with service and social innovation organizations to devise strategies to enhance the way we live, work and play through research and design. His work combines systems thinking, design and behavioural science with the tools of critical education, communications and evaluation. It is my hope that through this work I can inspire people to think in systems, harness their creativity, and design social innovations for public wellbeing. He is the Principal of CENSE Research + Design, a social innovation consultancy studio focused on strengthening clients' skills in designing innovations and understanding their impact on the world. He is also a faculty member with the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto
