I'm not sure of its origin but there's also a verson that a society can be
judged by how it treats its children. But in any case the point is not how
all are treated, but the 'least among us' or most vulnerable. It speaks to
the point that even if we continence some inequality of power or
resources, we act as a community to collectively make sure that all
maintain a decent standard of living and development (Precisely what has
largely been expunged from US public discourse in recent decades).

Hi, Michael. I am not sure where it comes from, but was wondering why is
it "working class". Sounds like it came from the labor union.
Why not "A true indicator of a community's health (or society's health) is
the overall wellness for all its residents". - i.e. regardless of class?

Hi folks,
I'm trying very hard to find out the origins and correct phrasing of the
following (probably paraphrased quote):
*"A true indicator of a company's (society's?) health is the overall
wellness of its working class."*
I have no idea who said it, when, or what was exactly stated.
Any and all assistance is appreciated!!
Thanks,
Michael
