I would agree that the real and serious issues of social housing are
not going to be influenced one way or the other if a few properties.
However, if there is substantial new revenue to be found in selling
off the property then I would argue that the net gain would be worth
it.  Either way, isnt hard to rationalize some people living in social
housing that can be characterized as being sardine cans and others
living in, what some are suggesting, million dollar homes?  Let's not
forget we have no information of the quality of the "million dollar"
properties or the total revenue to be generated by selling them.

If there are other assets that could be liquidated, well, I think that
might be another discussion.
