Dear colleagues,
The Canadian Tobacco Control Research Initiative has announced funding for
community-based research grants. These grants are designed to support
community-based, multi-sectoral research related to nicotine addiction.
Priority will be given to proposals involving the Aboriginal community, those
exploring child and youth health, and those incorporating the topic of sex
and/or gender.
The deadline for the letters of intent is April 1, 2005. Full proposals are
due October 1, 2005. The amount of the award is up to $250,000 each year for
up to five years. Funding is available to support up to two grants. The
Principal Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or legal resident.
