from Politics of Health Group
---------------------------
You might like to know the latest on the long-awaited
report 'Shaping the future of public health: Promoting
health in the NHS'. It's interesting that this
report dribbled into the public domain at the end of July
with no announcement or press release - rather like the
Marmot inequalities report did a couple of
weeks later - and that not only has the phrase 'health
promotion' been removed from its original title, it is not
even mentioned on the DH internet cover page. Are they so
allergic to health promotion that it has become the
specialty that dare not speak its name?
The report is at http://tinyurl.com/am33g
Best wishes, Alex
