Thematic Session on "Community and Mental Health"
Society for the Study of Social Problems Annual Meeting
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
August 10-12

Dear Med Soc Section Members,

I would like to invite presentations for a session I am organizing on
"Community and Mental Health" for the 2006 Society for the Study of
Social Problems annual meeting in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on Aug.
10-12 (which nicely coincides with the ASA meetings).

The session title is intentionally broad with regard to conceptions
of both community (e.g., geographic, virtual, cultural) and mental
health (e.g., well-being, disorders, treatment, policy).
Presentation topics can be substantive, methodological, or
theoretical in focus. Papers focused on applied issues and/or using
qualitative or mixed methods are particularly welcomed.

**Either abstracts or full papers will be accepted.

This session is being sponsored by SSSP's Mental Health Division.
Information about SSSP, the Mental Health Division, and the meeting
itself can be found at http://www.sssp1.org

If interested, please contact me ([log in to unmask]) before January
30th. Also, I would greatly appreciate it if you would please pass
along this call to colleagues and students.

Thanks,
Rich
