Hey everybody,

Here's a simple model of the topic:

Community   ----->  Coordinator/Liaison ---------> University
Has problem/Issue Takes problem and works with Does "targeted" research
                                            University to develop research

Community <------   Coordinator/Liaison <--------- University

Uses knowledge to Interprets and transforms research "Disseminates" research findings
better the community into "Useable Information" and to Coordinator/Liaison
related to issue "markets" the information to community.
I do realise this is a little on the minimal and simple end of the spectrum- but using the terminology that is in question (dissemination versus marketing), I believe this makes the coordinator position (and I have used the term liaison as this person is the link to the community) a little more clear.

Yours in health,

Veli Rautio
