Ken,

Knowledge is power -- some know that and others need to learn that...
but do we want (them) to learn?

Subject: Re: [SDOH] Brokering university knowledge to community agencies

seems to me that the generation of knowledge (information plus
judgement/wisdom)
occurs everywhere- just in different ways. just as folly
(inaccuracies/foolishness).

the discussion between communities and universities needs to value all
forms of
knowledge and be jointly on the lookout for folly. this can only occur
in
considered dialogue and the testing of ideas in the real world.

in an information society- the issue isnt who has the information- its
how it is
shared and knowledge generated as a result.
