Re the U.S., they're far ahead of us in a number of ways in terms of
listening to the public. I recently learned, for example, that the NIH has a
national council of community representatives that report directly to the
NIH director. Can you imagine Health Canada allowing this?

Re your DVD, I did a search to see if I'd missed an earlier announcement of
it to the list. Couldn't find anything - but I did get the pleasure of
laughing all over again at some of your more audacious comments. 

WISE has been in the same predicament in trying to get word out about our
book. This list and others like it have been helpful and supportive in that
effort, so I suggest that you post an 'official' release here and to any
other listservs you know.

Regarding the latter, I would appreciate hearing from subscribers about any
other listservs they think might be relevant to WISE's work. Perhaps it
would be appropriate for people to respond to this request by personal
message rather than to the list?
