The idea that disadvantaged socioeconomic position is associated with
accelerated ageing is not novel, but the notion that it might be indexed
through prematurely shortened telomere length is new. (Cherkas et. al, Aging
Cell. 2006;5:361-5).

Is anyone able to advise me further - are telomeres only accessible through
leucocytes? Can they only be measured from a blood sample? Can they be possibly
measured from a buccal swab or from gingival crevical fluid?
