We are certainly not short of studies, articles and books about poverty
and its effects on the population (regardless what segments).  How many
articles, books do we have read, and how many studies to we have to
conduct?  When are we going to REALLY do something about it?

Poverty and ethnicity in the UK
This study summarises the findings of poverty and ethnicity research
since 
1991 and describes differences in poverty rates and experiences by
ethnic 
group. 
Poverty rates among ethnic groups in Great Britain
This study analyses how the rates of income poverty differ between
ethnic 
groups and the reasons for some of these differences. 
Ethnic minorities in the labour market: dynamics and diversity
This study looks at the labour market performance of minority ethnic 
groups in Britain, using Census data from 1991 and 2001 and more recent

information from the Labour Force Survey.
Long-term ill health, poverty and ethnicity
This study examines why there are links between ill health and poverty,

and why the consequences appear to be worse among minority ethnic
groups. 
The role of higher education in providing opportunities for South Asian

women
This study explores barriers to higher education, individual and 
institutional strategies for higher education success and young South 
Asian women's experiences of going to university.
