Greetings to all,
As you are all aware, the Nova Scotia Provincial Health Council ceased
to exist on March 31 of this year. The materials produced by the
Council, including the Determinants of Health Indicators Project, has
continued to be available on the Council's website. Soon, however, the
contract for hosting the website will expire. I am attempting to
negotiate appropriate 'homes' for these documents on the NS Government
websites, where appropriate.
I am passing along this notification in the knowledge that the
documents have remained popular even after the Council's disbanding
(thank you!), and I wanted to make the members of this list aware that
they will continue to be available. During the (hopefully) brief interim
between the website disconnection and the relocation of documents, I
will have all of the documents in PDF format, available on request. The
report as a whole is too large to download at once, but I would be
willing to forward chapters as requested. There are some supplementary
materials that were not available that i would be willing to forward as
well, these being simple summaries in table form, in Excel format.
I am extremely proud of the work produced by the Council, and have been
given responsibility over the information produced during its tenure. I
want to thank everyone who has shown an interest, and hope the documents
will be easily available soon. When the documents are available for
download, I will notify the list.

Regards,
David F. Mercer
