Canadian Health Network: Active Living Feature Article May 2005

"Let's Get Moving: Why Aren't We more Physically Active?"

The Alberta Centre for Active Living and CHN have jointly produced the May
feature article for the Canadian Health Network (go to
www.canadian-health-network.ca to access the article).

Over the years, modern technology has improved our lives in many ways. We
can carry out our daily tasks more quickly with less physical effort than in
the past. What we have lost is a physically active lifestyle that can
protect us against many chronic diseases. This article focuses on some
simple and creative ways you can move yourself from a modern sedentary
lifestyle into a more active and healthy way of life.
