I've been really disheartened by this election, and that's saying a lot for a strong NDP supporter. I should be happy, but I'm really not - not with the Harper majority. http://Fairvote.ca is the right place to start for thinking about electoral reform - though I despair that the Conservatives will stifle any discussion to this end. Every party stands to gain in a PR system except the governing party, which must contend with more voices and more dialogue. I wonder what the mechanics are of calling for a referendum on proportional representation electoral systems, because it strikes me that's where our energies need to be directed to best bring SDH to the table in a substantive way under this government.

Love it! I woke up yesterday morning in a rage. What the hell are
Canadians thinking? But as this points out it was only a small minority
who were suffering from this disease...not the majority!
I think where we need to concentrate our discussion over the next few
years is on parliamentary reform. When oh when are we going to have a
system that actually reflects the majority's wishes?

virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea
Lectim. It's pronounced "Gonna re-elect 'em," and it is a terrible
disease. The disease is contracted through dangerous and high-risk
behaviour involving putting your cranium up your rectum.
Many victims contracted it in the last Federal election when they re-
relected Stephen Harper and are now starting to realize how
destructive this sickness is.
It's sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just
coming on the market called Votemout. It's pronounced "Vote-em-out".
You take the first dose in 2011 and don't engage in such behaviour
again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out
all life as we know it in Canada.
There are 34 million people and 24 million registered voters in
Canada. 5.8 million voted for Harper... to a majority government????
