The WHO has updated its website and has the winning SDOH logo submitted by
Australian Ben Murray.

Ben Murray, Commission Logo Contest Winner

Ben Murray was born in Adelaide South Australia in August 1984. He was
educated at Prince Alfred College, and graduated in 2002 with a Governor’s
Merit award for Design. Ben is currently continuing his design studies at
the University of South Australia. Additionally Ben has recently launched
his own freelance design company, Adelaide Design.

Ben has had a life long interest in visual communication, and has received
awards in recognition of his work, including the Australian Red Cross
poster competition in 2001, the Prince Alfred College Artsweek competition
2001, the PJ Memorial Prize for Design in 2002. He has been a finalist in
state, national and international design competitions.

In addition to his passion for design, Ben pursues other activities with
zest. He was vice captain of the Senior football team at Prince Alfred
College, and continues to play football for the Old Collegians. He is a
member of two basketball teams, and surfs as often as he can on the
excellent local beaches. Ben has recently commenced independent travel, and
has explored tropical Indonesia and the mountains of New Zealand.

Ben’s commitment to social justice and humanitarian causes motivates him to
contribute to improving public recognition of agencies such as the Red
Cross and WHO.
