The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) announces its abstract call
for the 97th Annual Conference. The Conference will be held at the Fairmont
Hotel Vancouver in Vancouver, British Columbia from May 28-31, 2006.

CPHA is pleased to be partnering with the Canadian Institute for Health
Information Canadian Population Health Initiative, the Canadian Institutes
of Health Research Institute of Population and Public Health, and the
Public Health Agency of Canada. This conference would be in association with
the British Columbia Public Health Association.

The major goal of the CPHA 97th Annual Conference is to understand what
determines the health of individuals, communities, populations and whole
societies in recognizing the influence of many factors (education, income,
ethnicity, gender) and how they interact over the course of our lives.

The conference will have four streams: Aboriginal Health, Global Health,
Infectious Diseases, and Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention.

Presentation abstracts must be submitted online by January 13, 2006 at
www.cpha.ca

If you wish to volunteer to help with the review of abstracts, please email

theme and streams for the conference.
