Re: Address disparities in public health, Feb. 10, 2006. Letter writer
Kathryn McGoldrick correctly points out that the media is so focused on
health care as to be blinded to the overarching importance to health of the
non-medical determinants of health. What better illustration of this is
the editor of the Letters section of the Star's placing the following
caption above her distinctly non-health care-related letter: "Speed up
sluggish health-care reform".
