As the US hits 18 billion a year expenditures on lipid controls

From my earliest practice days, I have been convinced that weight problems
are significantly related to human stress levels.

Whether I was working with a small group of patients in 1985 in Nowata OK
or dealing with patients even today, I have seen little to dispute this.

It is not a surprise that the problems that we have in diabetes and weight
concentrate in the populations that they do.

In many ways increased weight is a symptom of failure of systems of
education and health and personal security and support and other areas.

From my discussions with patients, cash flows in poor areas are nearing all
time lows with impacts on those who perform a variety of personal services.

It also does not help that people "feel" and "experience" tragedies through
the media, movies, news, etc. I regularly tell my stressed patients to turn
the TV off, especially the news and usually find that they have already
learned this.
