Hmmm. I am not sure what to say about this. I hope it's money well spent.

I do want to make a comment about the statement: "Hill said he wasn't concerned about women wanting similar conveniences. "We are trying to curb a problem primarily caused by males in the late evening hours." I really take offense with this. If you have been to any conference, meetings, functions anywhere (hotels, retaurants, community centers) etc., there is always a line for the women, and NEVER for men. I always had an issue with this. There is a serious design flaw. Do women not frequent these places? How do you know they don't need to go? Long line/wait to go could be a serious health hazards for women, ever heard of bladder infection and UTI? And no, cranberry juice won't help!

Victoria, BC to install first pop-up toilets! But don't count on
using them if you're homeless...

"A report to city council said pub patrons, not homeless people,
accounted for most of the instances of public urination. Staff made
the determination after monitoring use of the urinals."

... funding these public toilets may not been approved otherwise.
