FREE EVALUATION WORKSHOP:DESIGNING EVALUATIONS TO HAVE INFLUENCE

The Evaluation Centre for Complex Health Interventions at Li Ka Shing
Knowledge
Institute, St. Michael's Hospital is pleased to invite you to a
workshop on "Designing Evaluations to have Influence: Making
Evaluations Matter" for evaluations of complex problems. This workshop
will take place on March 26th, 2012 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at Room
209- Allan Waters Family Auditorium, 209 Victoria Street, Li Ka Shing
Knowledge Institute, Toronto ON, Canada M5B 1T8

Mel Mark, one of the leaders in the field of Evaluation and Professor
of Psychology at Penn State University will pose provocative questions
for planners, policy makers, researchers and evaluators.

Key Questions of the Workshop:
-How can evaluations be designed to have maximal impact on social
decision making?
-How do ideas of influence relate to decisions regarding rigor?
-In what different ways do evaluations contribute to beliefs and
actions that spark social change?

The presentation will be followed by responses from Canadian leaders
in the policy and practice communities in the audience. The event will
be highly interactive with ample opportunity for dialogue about
experiences as well as a forum for questions about accountability and
evaluative learning. The workshop will provide a space to discuss the
ways in which evaluative thinking and evaluation approaches can help
address a range of policy issues and community problems.

Please email Chelsey Rhodes at [log in to unmask] to reserve a spot at the
workshop. We look forward to seeing you there!

Best,

Sanjeev Sridharan
