I'm afraid I would have to agree with Barbara on this
one. We can most certainly have constructive
discussion and debate around issues and the wording of
such, without agreeing on inherent meaning of specific
words. It is my view that by not challenging the
meaning of words, not only may we possibly prevent the
evolution (and expansion) of word meanings, but it may
also limit a deeper understanding of the issue at
hand.
