Sharing perspectives on Canada's social well-being

http://sdc-dsc.dialoguecircles.com/

Today, Social Development Canada launched its Consultations Web site. The
site offers all Canadians the chance to express their views and share their
ideas on social issues that are important to them.

Our department's public involvement activities are designed to engage
citizens, communities, and the social and private sectors in shaping
Canada's social policies. Social Development is committed to working with
the provincial and territorial governments to advance the social issues
that matter most to Canadians.

Consultations also take other forms at Social Development Canada. For
example, we are providing Parliamentarians with a Public Involvement Kit
entitled: "Let's Talk: Shaping Canada's Social Well-Being."  The kit will
support Members of Parliament in holding public dialogue sessions with
their constituents.

I encourage you to participate in this consultative process by sharing your
thoughts and stories via the Web site and by telling as many people as
possible about our Consultations Web site. The feedback collected will help
inform the department's work -- so the more people participate, the more
effective the process.

public avec leurs électeurs.

fructueux.
