A new study has found that one in five Indiana children lives in poverty.
That's about 18 percent of all Hoosier kids, and the figure puts Indiana
near the bottom in overall child well-being.
All too often, the tough times start early. The nation and Indiana as well
have made progress in reducing the number of kids who never make it past
infancy, but not enough to help the poorest mothers-to-be avoid problems...
