The book Fire and Ice (see below) is an extraordinarily interesting book
about US and Canadian values with clear implications for accpetance of an
equity agenda.

Toronto -- Pollster Michael Adams has won this year's Donner Prize, the
"Giller Prize" in the Canadian public-policy literary field with an award
value of $35,000, for his book Fire and Ice: The United States, Canada and
the Myth of Converging Values.
Adams, the president of the Environics group of research and communications
consulting companies, drew on years of research to reach his conclusion
that despite the common assumption of an increased Americanization north of
the 49th parallel, there is actually a growing cultural divide.
