A Public Forum"

Free admission/ simultaneous translation

Whether we speak of SARS or poverty or the global sale of tobacco, today we
live in a borderless world. All of us - both as individuals and nations -
have a part to play in improving the health of the public, in Canada and in
the global arena. This exciting public forum will explore this theme
through the use of an interactive panel discussion, the voices of the
renowned African Children's Choir and the presentation of the first CPHA
National Public Health Hero Award. Please join us for this unique event!

*     Dr. James Orbinski, Research Scientist and Associate Professor,
Department of Family and Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine,
University of Toronto; Past President, Médecins Sans Frontières; President,

*     Dr. David McCoy, Managing Editor of Global Health Watch and
representative of the People's Health Movement
*     Chair: Dr. David Butler-Jones, Chief Public Health Officer, Public
Health Agency of Canada

tabac, nous vivons aujourd'hui dans un monde sans frontières. Nous avons
tous - individuellement et en tant que pays - un rôle à jouer pour
améliorer la santé du public, au Canada et sur la scène mondiale.-- Cette
tribune libre passionnante approfondira ce thème au moyen d'un débat de
spécialistes. Vous pourrez aussi entendre les voix enfantines du célèbre
African Children's Choir et assister à la remise du premier Prix national
de héros de la santé publique de l'ACSP. Soyez des nôtres pour cet
événement unique!
