CBC may want to contact the Executive Director of the Alberta Rural
Physician Action Plan (RPAP). RPAP has done a huge amount of work in the
area of recruitment and retention.

The University of Alberta's Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry has a new
Associate Dean of Rural and Regional Health, Dr. Jill Konkin who might be
able to provide information or a publication.

As well, I see an article in the September 2005 issue of the Canadian Family
Physician by Dr. James Goertzen called "The four-legged kitchen stool:
Recruitment and retention of rural family physicians." There is a
bibliography that may be helpful.
