Interesting comment...
Does epidemiology do this to people? Or has the dominant (industry
supported) health policiy of providing public "health" through extension of
health care to all - focusing mostly in risk factors driven chronic diseases
"prevention" - been the main responsible for a retraction in the social
determinants approach during the last 10 years?
Brazil had a rich discussion on social determinants in the 1980s... Now that
is all gone... The main and only issue today seems to be the SUS - The
national public health care system...
