AIDS 2006

XVI International AIDS Conference
Toronto Canada + August 13 - 16 aoŭt
XVI Congrès international sur le SIDA

  Engagement Tours

Invitation for Local Organizations to participate and get involved!

AIDS 2006 will be one of the most important scientific gatherings in
the fight against AIDS, as well as a unique opportunity for science,
government, community and leadership from around the world to advance
our collective response to the epidemic. 20,000 people from around the
world are expected to participate in in this conference.

The AIDS 2006 Engagement Tours provide Conference delegates with unique
learning experiences through visits to Toronto-area organizations,
educational institutions, research labs and innovative grassroots
community development programs engaged in work with HIV/AIDS and other
health and social issues (i.e. poverty, gender inequity, food
assistance programs, and human rights) linked to the epidemic.

The goal of the Engagement Tours is to foster face-to-face interactions
and the exchange of information between conference delegates and people
involved in HIV/AIDS programming and services at local work sites. The
tours are an excellent opportunity to share what you are doing with a
wide range of people from around the world who have common interests
and concerns.

Please come to an information session to learn more about:

· The goals and objectives of the Engagement Tours
· Eligibility criteria for potential “host” organizations
· Information for organizations planning their own site visits
