Dear SDOH colleagues,
I am writing on behalf of the Toronto Community-Based Research
(TCBRN)(http://torontocbr.ning.com/) to invite those of you from
community organizations in Toronto to take part in an important project.
We are conducting an Environmental Scan of research and training/education
activities among community organizations working within the Toronto Central
Local Health Integration Network
(http://www.torontocentrallhin.on.ca/home.aspx)(LHIN). In
particular, the project will highlight Community-Based Research (CBR)
(http://depts.washington.edu/ccph/commbas.html) activities those which
equitably involve community members as research partners. The scan includes two
parts: (1) a general survey of community-based organizations and (2) in-depth
case studies of selected participatory research projects.
The survey can be completed on-line or in writing and may take between 30
and 45 minutes to complete. We ask that each organization completes only
one survey.
To view and complete the survey on-line or order a written version, please
copy and paste this address into your browser:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=MWJAG00bRAR90z_2b3z3w5Dg_3d_3d
We strongly encourage you to fill out the survey even if you are currently
not engaged in research or CBR. Please email us and let us know if you are
not participating and why. This information is important as it will help us
to ensure that this survey is relevant, inclusive and accessible to all
organizations.
If you require further information about the project in general, please
contact Ritu Chokshi at (416) 972-1010 ext. 225 or [log in to unmask]
Your participation in this project would be greatly valued!
Sincerely,
Sarena D. Seifer
