An exploration of the way patterns of racial and ethnic segregation in 
conjuction with income and class, have produced concentrations of poverty 
and affluence in the United States, thereby perpetuating cycles of advantage 
and disadvantage - and recent data that suggest Canada may be heading down 
the same path.
