SDOH Members,

Please accept this comment to the ongoing dialogue: 'Brokering
university knowledge to community agencies':

Thank you Dr. Bowman for recognizing - that regardless of affiliation -
when people are face to face and in the spirit of sharing; and
generating collaborative and collective understanding towards system and
model change and evolution for the betterment of all peoples, we can all
regard less of affiliation in the practice toward very good things.

When practicing from this place - it *knowledge* becomes less about
one's grounded practice in community or another's elevated nature or
style - whether mediated by the hybrid practitioner or not - it is
rather about making meaning together through collective commiseration
with unconditional compassion on issues/questions/inquiries with
tangible action and justice outcomes for all human beings, planetary
creatures and global ecosystems/environments.

If you really must have a model: Imagine the wheel, with us all from
our various peripheries aligned by our various spokes (community,
academia/libraries, governance, hermeneutics, relational, self) to the
centre -- a human core (values/beliefs/moral codes, social
responsibilities) that creates and disseminates knowledge, experience,
understanding and stories of the heart through the ages. Imagine an
ariel of an ancient human settlement where paths led to a circular space
where fire was formed and bare feet danced; where we celebrated one
another and each and every other diversity that conjoined from all
peripheries - offering welcome and thanks to each - and if you so
choose, to the power(s) that be for our being.

Perhaps the planning grid system is our deviation from this? But I
digress ....

Regard less of affiliation!

With thankful appreciation for this string of conversation, and
enthusiasm for doing my job better - as a practicing hybrid for very
good things.

Be well,
Chad Leaver
