Answers for poverty, health sought at forum

Peace River Record Gazette — The Alberta Social Health Equity Network and
the local Poverty Action Committee organized its first community forum on
poverty in Peace River last Tuesday.
The ASHEN co-ordinator, Karena Apps Eccles from Sherwood Park, made Peace
River her second stop in a series of visits to the northern communities now
part of the ASHEN network. The forums are part of ASHEN’s efforts to
establish a provincial charter on the social determinants of health.
This is not the Poverty Action Committee’s first initiative at bringing the
issue to light... snip
