If you are interested in cultural competence and diversity training for
health care professionals, I suggest you check out the following websites.

http://www.gucchd.georgetown.edu/nccc
http://www.xculture.org/training/index.html
http://www.ethnomed.org
http://www.diversityrx.org

As well, the last website has a list-serv focused on diversity and
health care with some very good resources. You might want to check the
archives (volume 8)... the most recent entry from Alexander Green
([log in to unmask]) described an e-learning course for health
professionals on cross cultural learnings. I've cut and paste the most
relevant information below.

**********************************************************

The program, Quality Interactions: A Patient-Based Approach to
Cross-Cultural Care is a 2-hour, case-based, CME/CEU accredited,
e-learning program. It includes pre- and post-tests, background
information on cultural competence in health care (including frequently
asked questions), and three patients that learners get to “see” and
interact with as they would in a clinical setting.

If you are interested in learning more about the program, you
can link to two recent articles--one published in AMA news:
http://www.ama-assn.org/amednews/2004/06/28/prsd0628.htm and another in
Nurse Zone:
http://www.nursezone.com/Stories/SpotlightOnNurses.asp?articleID=12322
Also, feel free to respond to me individually by e-mail at
[log in to unmask], or visit:
http://www.criticalmeasures.net/cross_cultural/elearning.htm . We’ve
put a tremendous amount of effort into this program and hope that it
will help to move the field of cultural competence education another
step forward.
