Disparities in Health Status in the United States

On April 4, 2007, the Woodrow Wilson Center's Global Health Initiative and
Division of United States Studies will host a half-day conference on
disparities in health status in the United States. This conference will have
two panels, examining different aspects of health status disparities. The
first panel will focus on the influence of socioeconomics on health status,
including income and equity, the built-environment, and geography. The second
panel will examine racial and ethnic factors such as race, cultural concerns,
and immigration.
