I've a dim recollection of Stephen Harper's "new government" announcing
early in its Ottawa takeover of canceling the annual release by Statistics
Canada of the Low Income Cut Offs (LICOs). Proof that that may in fact be so
is the fact that the 2006 LICOs still haven't been released by StatsCan.
Does anyone on the list have different info? Alternatively, do you know what
the annual cost of living index was for 2006? With the latter info, I can
work out the 2006 LICOs for myself, based on the 2005 tables.
