I read Dennis' email about the limited coverage of The Canadian Facts.
Well, at least one Australian health journalist has been paying
attention:
"What's Australia's Henry Review of the Taxation System got to do with
health? This new Canadian report on social determinants has some
pointers: http://bit.ly/d1L0hh "
The blog the piece is posted on is called Croakey and it's affiliated
with Crikey, one of Australia's more influential independent media
outlets. Croakey receives some limited financial support from several
public health agencies but it's really a labour of love by Melissa
Sweet, a health journalist. It gets between 15,000 and 25,000 visitors
a month so it has a good following.
It's the best public health/health services blog in Australia and
arguably the world. Worth a look.
