ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

The Department of Health Promotion and Human Movement at Ithaca
College invites applicants for this full-time, tenure-eligible position to teach
undergraduate and graduate courses in health education with a primary
focus on curriculum design and teaching strategies for health education
majors to begin August 16, 2004.

Responsibilities include teaching courses in Health Education topic areas
such as Personal Health, Drug Education, and Human Sexuality. Other
duties include the advisement of students in Health and Physical
Education, serving on department, school, and college committees, and
initiating community involvement. The successful candidate will have a
strong interest in teacher preparation and will demonstrate scholarship
and interest through publications, presentations, and attendance at
professional meetings.

Doctoral degree in health education or education with a strong background
in pedagogy and health required. College teaching and public school
teaching experience desired. CHES or CHES-eligible preferred.
