I hope your house rental worked out.

I agree with your sentiments re: Nova Scotia, my second home.

If you are ever interested in a house rental, my mother has a lovely  
little place in Smith's Cove (near Digby). There is an obstructed  
ocean view, but it is only a 5-10 minute walk down to the shore. She  
is gone for a number of months every year.

Don't know if you've ever been to Nfld, but if not, that is one place  
everyone should visit at least once in a lifetime.
