Dear colleagues,

It is with sadness that I let you know that Professor Hiroshi Mizuta passed away on Friday 3 February, in Nagoya, Japan. He published numerous books and articles on Adam Smith and other Enlightenment philosophers, among which is _Adam Smith's Library : A Supplement to Bonar's Catalogue with a Checklist of the Whole Library_ (Cambridge University Press, 1967).
