PROJECT MANAGER
The Queen's Health Policy Research Unit (QHP) is looking for someone to
provide scientific leadership and project management for one of its larger
research projects. The specific project is the evaluation of the
Alternative Funding Plan for the Queen's Medical Faculty. It is multi-year
and multi-level in scope, and involves a range of different research
projects and a number of research staff and clinical faculty.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D in either Evaluation, Epidemiology,
Health Administration or a related discipline, or significant work
experience in health care appropriate to the position of project manager.
The appointee should have a strong research background and be able to
provide leadership that can be applied to the evaluation. Several studies
are already completed or in progress, while many others are to be developed
over the next two years. Initial appointment, however, will be for a
twelve-month period. A more detailed job description is available from the
QHP office.
QHP is a multi-disciplinary unit that conducts a range of research projects
on health services and health policy issues. It is situated within the
Medical Faculty of the University and has a number of linkages with other
faculties and departments across the campus and also with several external
organizations.
